We’re looking forward to exploring with you the idea of *resilience* in yoga and antiracism movement. This feels especially relevant in the face of the overt white supremacist violence happening now, and reflecting back on what activists endured last summer - how to support the resilience of antiracism movement. What is working? How has the concept been misused to perpetuate oppression? What does the yoga tradition say about resilience?
Engage with compelling ideas around this theme with a panel of activists and healers and healer activists including yoga leader and restorative justice advocate DuShawn Branch Pollard.
Dive deeper and make new connections in the break out sessions.
Restore and recharge with accessible yoga practices including breathing and meditation from DuShaun, and a special opening ancestor ritual from Zhara.
Connect with culturally relevant yoga resources for continued support, and/or plug in to antiracism movement work if you haven’t already.
This event is free for antiracism activists, organizers, and yoga teachers. Donations accepted. Register in advance to attend.
With gratitude to Alyson Godbolt of Healing Every Revolutionary (H.E.R.) for collaborating on the creation of this event, and Crossraods Fund for helping us make it happen!
